Competent Crew
This is for beginners and those who would like to become active crew members
rather than just passengers. By the end of the course you should be able
to steer, handle sails, keep a lookout, row a dinghy and assist in all the
day to day routines.
It is a five day course and the two days of RYA Start Sailing contribute to it. The course can be done over weekends or a week. If done over a week, then most ports of call in the Solent and adjacent waters can be visited. As far West as Poole and Weymouth and as far East as Brighton. Weekend course will visit places such as Yarmouth, Lymington, Beaulieu, Newtown Creek, Bembridge, Port Solent and, of course, Cowes.
